Connecticut Technical Conference Partners with NFP Sports
Partnership will elevate awareness, sponsorship opportunities and promote the student-athletes, coaches and schools within the conference.
(Suffield, CT – January 10, 2022) - NFP Sports, the leading high school sports fundraising and marketing company in Connecticut recently announced a new partnership with the Connecticut Technical Conference (CTC). The partnership will help the CTC increase public awareness, generate sponsorship revenue and to provide increased opportunities for its student-athletes. NFP Sports will showcase their innovative sports marketing initiatives and its results through their first of its kind digital platform, which includes mobile, e-commerce and social media. NFP sports looks to establish sponsorship opportunities through their well-established network of participating local businesses throughout the state.
NFP Sports first launched its sports marketing initiative in 2015 when it partnered with the Eastern Connecticut Conference (ECC). Since that time, they have helped to promote the conference, its 19 member schools, student-athletes, and coaches. The program has not only helped promote local student-athletes, but it has elevated the ECC brand on a state-wide level and helped to promote local businesses who have come on board as sponsors of the conference. In September 2020, the Connecticut High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) contracted with NFP Sports to do the same for them. In the last year and a half, NFP has overhauled the CHSCA’s website, successfully launched its social media presence and established a custom online event ticketing platform.
NFP Sports founder, James Thomson sees the partnership with the CTC as a natural progression. “This whole thing started with our coaches and administrators asking us to help them with things that were difficult and painful. Whether it’s fundraising, marketing or sponsorship engagement, it comes down to identifying needs, working hard and delivering results,” said Thomson. “The student-athletes of the Connecticut Technical Conference deserve to have their story told. We can’t wait to promote the CTC, grow their fan base and partner with the business community to create win-win relationships for years to come.”
CTC Commissioner John Krot has worked with NFP Sports over the years. First as the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Killingly High School, more recently as the Athletic Director at Parish Hill and now as the CTC’s Commissioner. “NFP Sports has long-standing relationships through fundraising with many of the CTC member schools, so this partnership is a natural progression from those relationships. They have also proven themselves in the areas of marketing and sponsorship engagement with the success they have had with the ECC and CHSCA. Our member schools offer unique opportunities for student-athletes throughout Connecticut, and we look forward to shining a light on their hard work and commitment on and off the field of play.”
